Mamelodi Sundowns Stars Feature In CAF Team Of The Week

Stars from both Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu made it to the CAF Champions League team of the week after their impressive results over the week. 

Sundowns registered a historic 1-0 win over Al Ahly in Cairo, their first at the home of the reigning African champions, while Benni McCarthy's side won their second match of the group campaign when they beat Algerian outfit ES Setif by the same margin at Moses Mabhida Stadium. 

The scorer of the winning goal for Usuthu, Luvuyo Memela, made it into the team of the week, a deserved inclusion after another match-winning goal for the side. It was his second goal in the group stages, after scoring the winner against Guinean outfit Horoya at the same venue. 

For Sundowns, three of their players have made it into the team of the week. It's no surpise that Kennedy Mweene is in the team after his heroics in goal inspired DStv Premiership holders, Sundowns to a victory over their former coach Pitso Mosimane. 

Another solid display at the back earned Rushine de Reuck a spot in the team, with Lyle Lakay also featuring for his great performance on the left flank for Sundowns.
