Mamelodi Sundowns' CAF Champions League Opponents - Enyimba

Enyimba

Having had a look at Mamelodi Sundowns' other two opponents in the CAF Champions League last eight, we give you a brief breakdown of what Pitso Mosimane's charges are in for when they meet the Nigerian giants.   Read: Downs' Champs League Fixtures Confirmed   - Enyimba was found in 1976 and play their matches at the Enyimba International Stadium.    - They are considered the most successful Nigerian football club as they have won two CAF Champions League titles (2003 and 2004), seven Nigerian championships as well as two CAF Super Cup titles in 2004 and 2005.   - In 2003, they won the Best Team in Africa award and the following year their first choice goalkeeper at the time, Vincent Enyeama, won the Champions League Player of the Year.    - The Aba Warriors are the reigning champions of the NPL but find themselves in eighth-place in the current campaign, just four points adrift of leaders River United.   - They are currently coached by Paul Aigbogun who was previously in charge of Warri Wolves.   - This will not be the first time Enyimba face South African opposition. In 2006 in the Champions League group stages, Orlando Pirates took four points off the Nigerian giants beating them 1-0 at home and playing to a 1-1 draw away. In 2005, Enyimba claimed a credible 1-1 draw against Ajax Cape Town in the group stages in Mzansi before they beat the Urban Warriors 2-0 in Nigeria.
