Orlando Pirates defender, Happy Jele, has given Mamelodi Sundowns some advice ahead of their CAF Champions League clash with Setif next week.
Downs' Champs League Fixtures Confirmed
Sundowns were reinstated into the continental competition, following AS Vita's disqualification for fielding an ineligible player, and have been drawn alongside Nigeria's Enyimba, Egyptian giants Zamalek and Algerian outfit, Setif. The Brazilians will face Setif in the opening round of the group stages next Saturday and Jele has advised Pitso Mosimane's team to remain focused, especially when it comes to decisions from match officials.
"Focus is the important thing," he told the Siya crew. "You know a lot happens when you play in Africa. The referee can at times make decisions which will disturb you as a team but when you are focused you will manage to overcome those disturbing decisions."
The 29-year-old went on to say that the Absa Premiership champions must respect both local and continental competitions and do the country proud at the tournament.
"Also they should not divide attention between the local tournaments and the Champions League," he continued. "They have to take every game with the same seriousness then they will go far. They have a good team which, if well focused, can make South Africa proud."
