2016 Olympic Qualifier
Result: Kenya 0-1 Banyana Banyana
Date: 02 August 2015
Venue: Machakos Stadium
Banyana Banyana progressed to final round of 2016 Olympic qualifiers after a 2-0 aggregate win over Kenya.
Vera Pauw's side were dealt a blow in the early stage, when the first leg match-winner, Lebo Ramalepe, had to be substituted due to an injury.
South Africa eventually broke the deadlock in the 25th minute when substitute Rhoda Mulaudzi slotted past the goalkeeper, after a solo run.
Sanah Mollo could have doubled Banyana's lead after the 30-minute mark, but blazed over the crossbar with Kenyan goalkeeper out of sight.
Banyana shot-stopper Roxanne Barker was called upon moments later, while Mulaudzi's header was saved by the Kenyan goalkeeper at the other end.
The second half failed to provide the same amount of openings as the opening 45 minutes, although Barker was called into action midway through the first half.
Mollo had another sniff at goal after the 80-minute mark, but the striker's effort was blocked off by a Kenyan defender.
Pauw's side managed to see out the remaining 10 minutes and held on for the 1-0 win, which saw them progress to the next round of qualifiers.
Banyana will meet Equatorial Guinea , who beat Nigeria, in the final round of the Olympic qualifiers, with the winner of that tie securing a spot in Brazil next year.
