Banyana Banyana and Senegal played to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly at the Stade Lat Dior on Saturday.
Banyana recently missed out on qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games after losing to Nigeria in the final qualifying clash earlier this year.
Desiree Ellis' troops can gear themselves up for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and the regional COSAFA Women's Championships in the coming months.
The reigning African champions managed to carve out a few chances in the first half, with Sibulele Holweni going closest after being denied by the Senegalese goalkeeper.
That was as good as it got for the visitors in the opening 45 minutes, as the opening stanza ended all square.
Banyana were forced to make after the hour mark after Karabo Dhlamini collided with Kaylin Swart and had to be stretchered off, with Asanda Hadebe brought on as he replacement for the remainder of the game.
The opening goal would fall to the home side in the 67th minute, as Nthabiseng Majiya found the back of the net by firing past Khady Faye.
Banyana were headed for the victory until Senegal were awarded a late penalty, which Mbayang Sow converted as the two sides settled for a draw in the end.
Ellis' charges will be in action against Senegal for a second time on Tuesday.
