Banyana Banyana booked a placed in the semi-finals of the African Women Championship for the fifth consecutive time since 2006 with a 5-1 win over Algeria.

Portia Modise scored a brace to take her goal tally to a cool one hundred in international, as South Africa finished runners-up to Cameroon, and set-up a date with Nigeria's Super Falcons in the semi-finals.
South Africa enjoyed more possession, but failed to break the Algerians, who twice nearly caught Banyana Banyana with counter attacks, with one of the balls cleared off the goal-line by Nokou Matlou.
A promising Sana Mollo's shot deflected off the Algerian's defender as Banyana Banyana tried their luck from range in search of the opening goal.
From the resulting corner kick, South Africa were handed a penalty after Sadou handled the ball inside the box.
Nompumelelo Nyandeni stepped-up, but her effort was easily saved by the Algeria goalkeeper to deny Banyana Banyana the opener.
The deadlock was finally broken in the 37th minute as Amanda Dlamini's powerful shot beat the Algerian goalkeeper for the opening goal of the match.
Banyana Banyana's all time leading goal scorer, Portia Modise, made it 2-0 just before the half time break as South Africa enjoy a comfortable lead, and take her personal tally to 99 goals for her country.
South Africa picked where they left in the second half as they once again dominated possession and squandered two chances to increase the score shortly after the interval.
It continued to be a one way traffic as Banyana Banyana created more chances, but failed to get the back of the net.
Algeria then made two quick substitutes in an effort to improve their game, bringing in Affak, who scored a solitary goal in their 1-0 over Ghana in the opening match, and was introduced along with Merronche.
However, it would be South Africa scoring the third goal through Sana Molloa in the 69th minute.
The forward, who had been threatening the whole afternoon, put her name on the score sheet from close range after she was played by Modise.
Mamello Makhabane increased the rout in the 81st minute scoring from a beautiful free kick,
Centurion, Modise grabbed her 100th goal in the 87th minute to hand South Africa a big win
Affak, would score her second goal of the competition just before the final whistle to give Algeria the consolation goal.
Ghana beat Cameroon in the other game 1-0, but with South Africa's superior goal difference, it is Banyana who qualifies.
