Date: 18 October 2015

Banyana Bayana qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games, after securing a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea on Sunday afternoon.

Vera Pauw's charges had the first opening of the half after just six minutes, as Amanda Dlamini broke through on goal however her effort sailed just wide.

The home side looked to break the deadlock in the tie after 20 minutes, but Banyana goalkeeper Roxanne Barker was on hand to make a save.

Equatorial Guinea captain, Genoveva Anonman, came to close giving her side the lead after 30 minutes but Barker thwarted the skipper with another save.

Neither side could find an opening goal in the final 15 minutes of the opening stanza, as they went into the break with the score locked at 0-0.

Pauw's charges eventually broke the deadlock after 60 minutes courtesy of a strike from Jermaine Seoposenwe.

Banyana nearly let Guinea back into the game 10 minutes later, following an error from Matlou, however Barker was on hand to make the save.

The visitors squandered a chance to seal the win with nine minutes to play, as Sannah Mollo missed from close range after being played in by Seoposenwe.
