Fun Valley will be offered to the government as a quarantine site, the South African Football Association has confirmed.
It's the football motherbody's technical centre, which houses several of its national teams ahead of crucial matches at any given time during the season – and with SAFA announcing that they will be shutting it down to avoid crowd congestion during the Coronavirus pandemic in the country, the government can use it as one of the locations for isolation.
"SAFA is also shutting down the National Technical Centre (formerly known as Fun Valley) in a bid to curb the congregation of huge crowds in line with the national government call to stop the spread of the virus," a statement on the website read.
"We have decided as the association, to offer the SAFA NTC to the national government to use the facility as one of the quarantine centres."
