Daniel Cardoso could be one of the players to make South Africa proud as Bafana Bafana will be attempting to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with their match this coming weekend, according to former Kaizer Chiefs defender Rodney 'Danger' Thobejane.
Bafana are scheduled to play against Libya in their last match of the qualifiers on Sunday at the Stade Taieb Mhiri Sfax in Tunisia.

Bafana need nothing less than a draw to qualify for the continental football showpiece that is scheduled to take place in Egypt from 21 June to 19 July.
Thobejane has lauded Cardoso's selection to coach Stuart Baxter's team. The Amakhosi centre-back has been selected for Bafana's defence alongside with Thulani Hlatshwayo, Innocent Maela, Sifiso Hlanti, Rivaldo Coetzee, Aubrey Modiba, Buhle Mkwanazi and Thamsanqa Mkhize.
"We judge players differently and the way I see Cardoso operating as a central defender, the guy is a good player. He has got that thing of a proper central defender about him, with a football brain. He communicates well with his defenders and he can marshal his defence. What people don't understand is that the guy does the basics of playing proper football," said Thobejane.

Cardoso, 30, has made 18 starts from 24 Absa Premiership matches for Chiefs so far this season.
"For him to be selected for Bafana for this upcoming match, I think the coach made a right decision. Cardoso is a player who does not shy away from making runs from defence to up front to contribute to the team's attack and that is the kind of player we need. Cardoso is on top of his game at the moment. We just have to give him a chance, because everyone has to start somewhere. Cardoso will make us proud in Bafana Bafana," added Thobejane.
