Bafana Bafana take centre stage yet again in the Africa Cup of Nations, this time in the last 16 round when they tackle one of the favourites, Morocco on Tuesday night.
Morocco are the continent's number one ranked team and semi-finalists of the 2022 FIFA World Cup so the pressure will be on them, particularly since South Africa are the only team to have beaten the Atlas Lions since the Qatar tournament.

Celebrated South African coach Pitso Mosimane, who had recently joined Saudi Pro League side Abha FC, provided advice for his countrymen for the big game.
"Yella Shabab! Confidence, Resilience, Hard work, Tactical discipline, and Teamwork. Let's put out combination play, lots of teams struggle to stop us," Mosimane wrote on his X profile.
"Lion of Judah, you have the extensive experience and leadership of playing these big games. Asiyeni Bafowethu," he further highlighted.
Mosimane's point could be referring to how the 1996 champions South Africa are feared for their pace up front, the way they run off-the-ball and then also stretch defences in their wake. This is what the coach could have meant about opposition side's struggling to stop Bafana.
The best of Bafana applying this objective was showcased in their 4-0 victory over Namibia in the group stage. SA fans will be hoping to see more of that since coach Hugo Broos was expected to have played for a draw when they met Tunisia in their last group game, and achieved their task of progression with a 0-0 result.
South Africa also impressed in the first half against Mali with their speed but failed to capitalise when star player Percy Tau missed his penalty. Bafana struggled in the second half and lost that opening group game 2-0 so this time Mosimane hopes that their hard work and tactical discipline will shine throughout the knock out fixture against Morocco.
