The Africa Cup of Nations has already thrown up a few surprising results from the beginning of the tournament in mid-January.

One such surprise was when Bafana Bafana upset Africa's number one ranked team, Morocco 2-0 in the last 16 round. South Africa had also effectively eliminated another favourite, Tunisia, thanks to a goalless draw in the group stage.
In the quarter-finals Bafana will face Cape Verde on Saturday, and Polokwane City's Oswin Appollis, who was a surprise inclusion for the tournament, is adamant they will go all the way and bring the trophy home.
"This is my first time (reaching the quarter-finals of a cup) and it's a big competition and I'm very happy for that. It's a very good feeling and I believe we have a very good squad to go all the way," Appollis told SAFA media.
"It's all up to God now, but I have a positive feeling of the squad going all the way to the final and winning it," he added.
This is his maiden Afcon too, and the 22-year-old's fine performances earlier in the season for Rise and Shine won him a ticket to the biggest tournament on the continent. Now, he isn't done with his progress but targets more Caf engagements in future.
"Yes, definitely especially when still at the age of 22-years-old and there are lots of Afcons coming up still and I can be part of it but only if I do the work I have been doing at my club.
"So, I definitely will be there if I continue doing the stuff I have been doing at my club and do the work I have been doing," he added.
Appollis is yet to get any minutes at the competition, but he is living the dream with the squad and is grateful how his path in the campaign up in the Ivory Coast has unfolded.
