The 7 New Bafana Faces As Pirates Dominate

Hugo Broos is on a mission to widen the pool of Bafana Bafana players, giving himself more options for when the Africa Cup of Nations comes around.

Bafana are set to play international friendly matches against Tanzania and Mozambique in early June, but will be without the Mamelodi Sundowns players who will be travelling to the USA for the FIFA Club World Cup in June.

Winger Elias Mokwana is also not part of the team as he will be with Tunisian giants Esperance at the Club World Cup.

This gives some players an opportunity to raise their hands for future call ups. There are seven players in the 23-man squad Broos has named that have never been part of the camp before.

Bafana will face Tanzania at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on June 6 and then face Mozambique at Loftus Stadium four days later. Broos will be looking to give quite a few of the players their senior national team debuts in these two matches
