Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr offered to give Stuart Baxter some tips after beating Libya twice and the German tactician now confirmed that the Bafana Bafana boss did indeed call him before revealing which advice he gave him.

Despite losing the first game of the qualifiers 2-0 at home to Baxter's side, the SuperEagles have already booked their ticked for the 2019 AFCON following a successful qualification campaign, which saw them beat Libya 4-0 at home and 3-2 away from home, Seychelles 3-0 away while drawing 1-1 with South Africa.
After Nigeria's draw in Johannesburg in November, Rohr told a press conference that he could give Baxter some tips ahead of South Africa's do-or-die clash in Libya, where Bafana cannot afford to lose. Ahead of this weekend's clash, Soccer Laduma contacted Rohr to find out whether Baxter did indeed gave him a call.
"Yes, Stuart Baxter did contact me. But, to be honest, he did not need my tips, because I could tell that he is always well-prepared," he told Soccer Laduma exclusively.
Without going further into detail what the two coaches spoke about, Rohr also insisted that South Africa must not go to Libya to play for a draw.
"If they say they will go there and play for a point, that's very risky. And I don't think Baxter will do so. He will want to try and win the game like we did," he explained.
"He will attack. I don't think Libya will go all out either just because they need to win. They will definitely play aggressive, but not risk everything. They, too, have some clever players. It will be an interesting game tactically.
"Maybe Baxter will set his team up for counters, like they did against Nigeria in Nigeria when they beat us 2-0. Because every time South Africa need to dominate a game, they are struggling, as we have seen against Seychelles, for example."
