There are just a few weeks left before the start of the continental showpiece which takes place in the Ivory Coast.

Bafana Bafana have been pitted in group E alongside Mali, Namibia and Tunisia.

They play their first match of the tournament on 16 January against Mali, and Kekana, who has been capped 30 times at senior national team level, has put his weight behind Broos and Bafana Bafana.

"Well, I think the coach has a nice headache where I see a lot of players that he has selected," he told journalists at the Philly's Games in Tembisa.

"The guys that are there, they really played well in their respective clubs, and I think they are on form.

"So it's up to the coach to find the proper level that will represent us in the AFCON...I just wish them luck," he said.

Broos finalised his 23-man South Africa squad on Thursday.
