As the Africa Cup of Nations approaches, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos could find himself having to manage the players of Mamelodi Sundowns who have already played an equivalent to an entire season of football.
Broos has included Ronwen Williams, Mothobi Mvala, Aubrey Modiba, Khuliso Mudau, Grant Kekana, Terrence Mashego, Thapelo Morena, Thapelo Maseko, Teboho Mokoena, Themba Zwane in his preliminary squad, as well as Bathusi Aubaas, who has been injured for a few months.

Sundowns have played more matches than any other DSTV Premiership club this season and will be involved in domestic action until December 30 - they have played 28 official matches.
By the end of the year, the club would have played 30 official matches in all competitions, basically an entire season of football.
The likes of Williams, Mokoena, Mudau and Zwane have played regular football, while Mvala, Modiba, Mashego, Morena and Kekana have been in and out of the team because of injuries at some point.
Williams and Zwane have featured 24 times for the Tshwane giants and Mokoena has made 23 appearances, while Mudau has played 21 times.
Mvala, meanwhile, made a return earlier this week in the clash against Pyramids in the CAF Champions League group stages, making his first appearance in over a month for the club.

There will be little time for rest between the end of club football and the start of AFCON, so Broos and his technical team will have a big job in making sure that the Sundowns players are fresh for the competition.
