Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster shared an incredible story of how he and former Orlando Pirates teammate Thabiso Monyane developed to become senior national team players together.
While Foster has been around the senior national team for a few years now, Monyane is a newbie trying to impress head coach Hugo Broos ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations in a few months from now. They played together in Pirates' development and went to the same school.

In fact, Foster revealed that Monyane stayed at his house for a year, which is what makes this moment of being in the national team together so special for them. They have come a long way and they are now living the dream together and it could only just be the start of greater things to come.
"Monyane is super special. We've played together since the age of 12. Super fast...he had the choice to do athletics because he was one of South Africa's fastest sprinters in our age group and Palacios forced him to play football and Thabiso actually lived at my house for a year. We slept in the same bed and we went to the same school," Foster told media during a Bafana Bafana press conference held at Orlando Stadium on Monday afternoon, ahead of this evening's international friendly against DR Congo.
"Being able to represent the country now together is something super special for the both of us. I am just happy that we are here and we are able to enjoy the moment together."

Broos, meanwhile, confirmed that he would be making changes for the clash against DR Congo this evening, after their goalless draw with Namibia over the weekend.
