Speaking from Tunisia ahead of the game on Sunday, one in which South Africa only need a draw to book their ticket to the AFCON in June, Maboe told the media he was buzzing to continue his hot streak.
"I think we have a very strong team, and obviously I would be looking to replicate what I have been doing back home, which is scoring goal," said the man who is currently Sundowns' leading goal scorer in the Absa Premiership with eight goals.
"I want to score one for the national team as well and try help them go to the AFCON. But that is if I am given a chance."
He is in good company with Percy Tau and Lebo Mothiba, two of Bafana's overseas based players who also can't stop scoring. Maboe has scored three goals in his last four league matches.
