The 28-year-old is currently with the South African national team, as they prepare for the second leg of the Chan qualifiers this weekend against Botswana.
Booysen captained Head Coach Stuart Baxter's side in a 2-0 win over Botswana in the first leg of the competition and says that he is grateful for the game time and the opportunity to represent Bafana Bafana in the tournament.
"It was an honour to captain Bafana to our first Chan qualifier win on Saturday, I am grateful to be playing the minutes and representing our country in these tournaments," Booysen told the media while in Bafana camp.
The player then went on to add that he is looking forward to the start of the new domestic campaign, despite not knowing whether or not he will be at the Chlookop-based club next season.

"I am looking forward to the new 2017/18 campaign, winning yet another Nedbank Cup with SuperSport United was very important for my career and my progress as a professional footballer," Booysen said.
"I don't know yet whether or not I will be playing for Mamelodi Sundowns in the new season, I am still contracted to the club, but whatever decision is made by management in the coming weeks, whether I am sent out on loan again or not, I will continue to work hard and give 100%, " he added.
