Bafana Bafana Are Focusing On Themselves... Not Libya

It'll be all hands – or feet as the case may be – on deck as Bafana Bafana look to book their spot at the African Cup of Nations, and Lebo Mothiba says they're focused on getting their job done. Mothiba, who scored his 11th goal of the 2018/19 season at club level over the weekend, will be hoping to bring his form to the international stage, and – after missing the first clash with the Libyans – play his role in securing their plane ticket to Cairo. Speaking from Tunis this week, the Ligue 1 striker said, "I know Libya now are preparing very hard for us because this game we're going to play is going to decide who is going to the AFCON… I didn't play the first game, it's my first time against Libya, so we just have to keep focus, keep working hard at training and listening to the coach's instructions." He added, "Us, we mustn't think like this… Us, we must focus on our work and mustn't think who is good on their side or who is dangerous. We have to do what we do best, go there and give everything." Mothiba will be battling it out with the likes of Lars Veldwijk for the chance to lead the line for Bafana in this weekend's crucial deciding game in Sfax.
