The head coach of the South African senior national team, Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba has announced his squad for the game against Mauritania in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

With Bafana Bafana having failed to qualify for the Gabon tournament, scheduled for next year, Mashaba and the team will want to improve their points tally and finish the qualifying campaign on a positive note.
Bafana are in third position in Group M with six points going into the last game, behind leaders Cameroon (11 points) and Mauritania (seven points).
Bafana's upcoming game against Mauritania is scheduled to take place at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on 2 September from 19h00.
Below is the Bafana squad for the game, as announced by Mashaba in a press conference at SAFA house in Johannesburg today.
Goalkeepers: Khune, Mabokgwane and Pieterse
Defenders: Mphahlele, Coetzee, Hlatshwayo, Mobara, Hlanti, Langerman, Daniels and Farmer
Midfielders: Furman, Jali, Mekoa, Masango, Morena, Dolly, Modiba, Makola and Kekana
Strikers: Motupa, Gabuza, Vilakazi, Rantie and Nxumalo

Following the game against Mauritania, Bafana are scheduled to play against Egypt in the Nelson Mandela Challenge at the Orlando Stadium on 6 September.
