Soccer Laduma reports that Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Xolani Mdaki has left Mzansi to trial with Swedish giants Djurgardens IF.
Mdaki spent last season on loan with Santos in the NFD, and Downs didn't indicate that they wanted him back, so the trip to Sweden could be a huge opportunity for the 22-year-old to not only continue his career, but to take a step up.
In fact, former Orlando Pirates player Mark Mayambela plays for Djurgardens, and he could play a huge role in nurturing Mdaki into the Swedish game.
If Mdaki is good enough to make it in Sweden, perhaps Downs should've given him more of a chance to play here in South Africa. What do you think?
