UCT Looking For Varsity Football Win

UCT have suffered two consecutive 6-0 defeats to UJ and NWU respectively but will be hoping to turn their fortunes around when they host UFS-Kovsies at The Green Mile. The two losses have contributed to them finding themselves rooted to the bottom of the table as they have managed to secure a solitary point from the five games they have played. That point coming in the opening round of the competition when a last minute goal saved them from being defeated by the University of Limpopo. The Warriors will be relishing the chance to redeem themselves in front of their home fans when they welcome the Bloem students to the Cape. Coach Rowan Hendricks has opted to make four changes to the previous game's squad and that will see Tinyiko Mvesale, Nkululeko Pitoyi, Kurt Allie and Neo Mohapeloa missing out on the game. It's all about pride for the Cape side and will be looking to secure some points to lift them off the bottom of the table in an effort to avoid the wooden spoon.
