Kovsies Target Rookies, Limpopo University

Kovsies Goalkeeper
Kovsies will be looking to lift themselves off the bottom of the Varsity Football standings when they take on newcomers, Limpopo in Bloemfontein. The Free State side went down to defending champions UP-Tuks in a hard-fought battle last week, and they will be hoping to get their campaign up and running against the side from the far north. Kovsies coach, Godfrey Tenoff, has made two changes to his team - both coming up front as Dylan O'Brien and Manxubandile Bantshi bolster their attack. Tenoff has made no secret of the fact that his team will come out all guns blazing as they look to bag all three points in their first home game. "We must learn to use the ball effectively and create more opportunity. We are good in the defence and middle third of the field but we need improvement in the attacking field," he explained. Limpopo coach, Burney Mampshika, has been just as bullish after a morale-boosting draw with UCT last week, with his side determined to show that they can do more than just make up the numbers this season despite not playing any games at home.
