Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has reportedly been taken into police custody for his involvement in a bizarre sex tape scandal involving French national teammate Mathieu Valbuena.
Former Liverpool Star Arrested In Sex-Tape Scandal
The Frenchman is allegedly one of three men to have blackmailed Valbuena over a sex tape, with reports claiming that the Real striker wanted €150 000 to not go public with it.
Former Liverpool forward Djibril Cisse had previously been interviewed by police for the same case, but was later released and cleared of all charges.
French media agency AFP have now reported that Benzema has been taken into custody over the allegations, but no further information has yet been released.

The whole matter relates to a judicial investigation opened in July over claims that Valbuena, who now plays for Lyon, was the subject of an extortion attempt.
