The Gunners have endured a difficult 2019/20 campaign thus far, but signs are there that things are slowly improving since the arrival of former Manchester City assistant manager Arteta as the club's first-team boss.
Despite Arsenal's 6-0 friendly victory over Charlton this past Saturday, the Spanish boss might have been annoyed with his team's efforts on Wednesday following their loss to Brentford.
While the likes of Hector Bellerin, Pablo Mari and Kieran Tierney featured for the Gunners in the first half, Arteta appeared to play his stronger side in the second half, which was also the half in which Mokotjo was introduced.

Reports have suggested that Arsenal were far from their sharpest in the match, and missed a lot of chances to take the game away from Brentford.
The Championship side, however, capitalised on the Premier League team's errors and came away with a 3-2 victory, thanks to goals from Tarique Fosu, Halil Dervisoglu and Shandon Baptiste.
Joe Willock and Alexandre Lacazette were on the scoresheet for Arsenal, who return to league action next week against last season's EPL champions Manchester City.
