Jose Mourinho has criticised Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes for "not playing" in Portugal's opening two games at the 2020 UEFA European Championship.

With the defending European champions are currently third in Group F, A Selecao have underwhlemed in their opening two games of the tournament, against Hungary and Germany.
Mourinho seemingly feels Fernandes is part of the problem for Portugal, believing the player has not done anywhere near enough when he has been on the pitch.
"Portugal, at its highest level, can beat anyone," the former Tottenham Hotspur manager told talkSPORT.
"But we need to play with 11 players, in these two matches Bruno Fernandes was on the pitch but not playing.
"I hope he turns up against France, because he's a player with incredible potential.

"He can pass, he can score. He can get penalties, he can score penalties, he can score free-kicks.
"He has a lot to give, but the reality is in these two matches he was not there."
Portugal can secure a spot in the round of 16 with a win over the world champions France on Wednesday night.
