The Welshman's finish became one of the most memorable goals of the tournament, and one of the most talked about strikes in world football.
Bale picked the ball up on the left wing in the 84th minute, knocked the ball past Barcelona's Marc Bartra, before his burst of pace allowed him to get through on goal and place the ball past goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto into the back of the net.
The forward explained how he felt after the goal, describing it as "an amazing feeling".
"You dream of scoring the winning goal in a cup final and to do it in the Copa del Rey against Barcelona – our biggest rivals – was quite surreal," he told WalesOnline.
"At the time, I had no clue just how far off the pitch I was when I made that run for the goal.
"I then just remember the ball going into the back of the net and going crazy in front of the Barcelona fans.
"They were just gesturing at me and throwing things. It was an amazing feeling."
