The Portuguese reached his top speed in the game against Spain, when he sprinted from his own box into the opposition half reaching 34km/h.

He shares the record speed measured with Croatia's Ante Rebic, according to the Mirror, while unofficial reports suggest Mbappe reached a high speed of 38km/h in the game against Argentina. However, Mbappe's speed has not been confirmed by any official site.

Peru's Luis Advincula and Colombia's Santiago Arias follow with a top speed of 33.8km/h and 33.6km/h respectively.

England duo Kyle Walker and Jesse Lingard were probably expected to be among the fastest players at the tournament, and both reach their fastest pace with 33.5km/h.

The places seven to 12 are filled with six stars, who have all reached 33.3km/h, with one Brazilian, though not Neymar or Willan, among them.
