The two nations, who are widely considered as serious contenders for the Euro 2020 prize, will go head to head tonight in a last-eight match the world cannot wait for.

To create excitement ahead of the encounter, we have selected our very own combined XI of players from the two teams, starting with Thibaut Courtois in goal. While Gianluigi Donnarumma has kept three clean sheets at the tournament, Belgium's No. 1 was instrumental in his side's 1-0 win over Portugal in the round of 16, so he gets our nod.

There were plenty of centre-backs to choose from, but because we only have space for two, we decided to select one from each nation: Leonardo Bonucci from Italy and Toby Alderweireld from the Red Devils.

Our fullback positions have also been filled with a player from each team, while Italy's Jorginho has been chosen at the base of our midfield, with Chelsea's deep-lying playmaker fundamental to the Azzurri's form at Euro 2020 so far.

Ahead of him, in more advanced midfield roles, we have gone with Kevin De Bruyne and Marco Verratti, despite the former being a doubt for this game. Eden Hazard could also miss the clash, but has been chosen ahead of Lorenzo Insigne on the left side of attack.

On the opposite flank, Italy's tireless and hardworking Federico Chiesa has been picked, while Belgium's all-time top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku leads the line ahead of Ciro Immobile.
