League A, Group 3

Italy 1-0 England

England have been relegated to League B in the UEFA Nations League after suffering a 1-0 loss to Italy on Friday evening.

After a goalless first half, the European champions got the breakthrough on 67 minutes courtesy of a superb strike from Giacomo Raspadori.

England were unable to find a way back into the contest and will now play in the second tier next campaign.

Hungary moved to the top of Group three after defeating Germany 1-0 on Friday evening.

The visitors took a surprise lead in the 17th minute, with Adam Szalai firing past Marc-Andre ter Stegen after being set up by Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungarians were able to hold out until the first whistle to hand Germany their first defeat under Hansi Flick.
