The PSG striker joined Barca for €69.5 million from Inter Milan, with Samuel Eto'o moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal in 2009.
Eto'o had just scored 36 goals for Barcelona and won the Champions League with the Blaugrana, but had reportedly fallen out with then coach Pep Guardiola.
The Catalans identified Ibrahimovic as his perfect replacement, and splashed out a lot of money for the Swede.
However, Ibrahimovic also fell out with Guardiola and reportedly didn't want to play second fiddle behind Lionel Messi.
Despite scoring 21 goals in 45 games, he became increasingly unhappy at Camp Nou and forced a move back to Italy for just €24 million, after initially joining AC Milan on loan for one campaign.
The controversial striker will now return to Camp Nou, but faces a tough mountain to climb after watching his side go down 3-1 in the first-leg in France.
Ibrahimovic, along with Marco Verratti, missed the game in Paris due to a suspension and he will surely go all out to prove his critics wrong.
