UEFA Champions League
Teams: Real Madrid vs Juventus
Date: 11 April 2018
Venue: Santiago Bernabeu
Time: 8.45 pm
Los Blancos enter the game with a commanding lead after beating Juve 3-0 at their own home ground last week, leaving them virtually with one foot in the semi-finals.
The Spanish giants will take confidence from the fact that no team has ever been knocked out of the competition after winning the first leg 3-0 away from home. However, they will be warned not to be complacent after AS Roma heroically eliminated Real's Barca last night, coming from 4-1 down to win the second leg 3-0 and progress on away goals.
Tonight's game is the 21st contest between the two sides, with Real winning 10 of the previous clashes, while Juventus have come out victorious eight times and two games ended in a draw.
Juve, though, have won the past four two-legged knockout ties between the two giants and were the last to eliminate Real from the competition, beating them 3-2 on aggregate in the 2014/15 semi-final.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored in all of his six appearances for Real against Juventus, netting nine goals in total, and will also be keen to extend his run of finding the back of the net in 10 successive Champions League games – a record run that began in last year's 4-1 final victory over the Italian side.
The Portuguese sits on 14 strikes for the current campaign and needs just three more goals to break his own competition record for the most goals in a single Champions League season.
