Atalanta 2-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid got back to winning ways in the UEFA Champions League after defeating Atalanta 3-2 on Tuesday night.

The visitors got off to the perfect start as Brahim Diaz picked out Kylian Mbappe, who skipped past one challenge before rifling into bottom corner.

However, Atalanta won themselves a penalty just before the halftime break after Mario Pašalic was brought down in the box, which allowed Charles De Ketelaere to convert for the equaliser.

Ancelotti's got their lead back ten minutes after the break when a clearance fell into the path of Vinicius Junior, who sent a first-time strike into the far corner.

The lead was extended on the hour mark as Jude Bellingham latched onto a long ball from Vinicius before cutting inside from home with a left-footed strike.

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman did pull another goal with a lovely strike on 65 minutes, but the defending champions were able to hold on for the win.
