UCL: Mbappe & Vini Get Real Back On Track

Atalanta 2-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid got back to winning ways in the UEFA Champions League after defeating Atalanta 3-2 on Tuesday night.

The visitors got off to the perfect start as Brahim Diaz picked out Kylian Mbappe, who skipped past one challenge before rifling into bottom corner.

However, Atalanta won themselves a penalty just before the halftime break after Mario Pašalic was brought down in the box, which allowed Charles De Ketelaere to convert for the equaliser.

Ancelotti's got their lead back ten minutes after the break when a clearance fell into the path of Vinicius Junior, who sent a first-time strike into the far corner.

The lead was extended on the hour mark as Jude Bellingham latched onto a long ball from Vinicius before cutting inside from home with a left-footed strike.

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman did pull another goal with a lovely strike on 65 minutes, but the defending champions were able to hold on for the win.

Shakhtar Donetsk 1-5 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich rallied from behind to secure a 5-1 win away to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday evening. 

The Ukraine outfit got the breakthrough after five minutes courtesy of a strike from Kevin. However, Bayern weren't behind for too long when Konrad Laimer bagged his second of the competition in the 11th minute.

Thomas Muller completed the turnaround on the stroke of halftime before Michael Olise converted a penalty in the 70th minute.

Jamal Musiala got in on the act with three minutes to play in regulation time before Olise completed his brace in second-half stoppage time.

Salzburg 0-3 Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain got their campaign back on track with a 3-0 trashing of Salzburg.

Luis Enrique's men lost to Bayern Munich in their last encounter while Salzburg were thrashed 5-0 by Bayer Leverkusen.

The French champions bagged the opening goal after 30 minutes thanks to a strike from Goncalo Ramos.

The visitors had to wait until the 72nd minute for the second goal when Nuno Mendes fired home, before Desire Doue rounded off the scoring on 85 minutes.

RB Leipzig 2-3 Aston Villa

Aston Villa also got back to winning ways after defeating RB Leipzig in a five-goal thriller.

The Villans made the perfect start when John McGinn opened the scoring in just the third minute after being set up by Ollie Watkins.

The Bundesliga outfit restored parity in the 27th minute, with Ikoma-Lois Openda finding the back of the net.

Jhon Duran put Villa ahead six minutes after the interval but Leipzig were back on level terms thanks to Christoph Baumgartner on 62 minutes.

The game was headed for a draw until Ross Barkley popped up with the winning goal for the Premier League side in the 85th minute.
