Cristiano Ronaldo bagged four goals as Real Madrid thrashed Malmo FF 8-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu in their final Champions League group stage tie.

After a quiet start to the game, Los Blancos opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo did well to pick out Isco, whose effort was cleared off the line, however Karim Benzema was on hand tap home the rebound.

It got better for Rafael Benitez's side in the 24th minute, as Ronaldo whipped in a fine ball for Benzema to head home from close range.

Los Blancos could have been three goals up in the 28th minute, as Isco did well to evade a few challenges, before picking out Ronaldo, who headed horribly wide from close range.

However, Ronaldo made up for the earlier miss in the 39th minute, as the Portuguese forward fired home a free-kick into the bottom corner. Although, the Malmo shot-stopper could have done better.

It was one way traffic in the first half and Real should have had a fourth on the stroke of halftime but Ronaldo somehow fired over the crossbar from close range.

The hosts got off to a bright start and bagged their fourth goal in the 47th minute, as Ronaldo grabbed his second by tapping home from six-yards out, after Isco's effort had been blocked.

Ronaldo completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute, as he did well to evade two Malmo defenders, before firing a low effort into the back of net.

It got better for Ronaldo and Los Blancos in the 59th minute, as the Portuguese bagged his fourth of the night with another easy finish, after turning home a low cross from Isco.

Los Blancos added a seventh goal in the 70th minute, as Matteo Kovavic swept home from close range, after Jese Rodriguez's strike was blocked.

The scoring was not done there, as Benzema was left in acres of space and the Frenchman finished into the bottom corner to complete his hat-trick.

Los Blancos managed to see out the remaining stages of the second half with relative ease to secure the win and top spot in the group.
