Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller has equalled the number of goals African legend Samuel Eto'o and former Real Madrid superstar Kaka have scored in the Champions League.

The forward, who turned 26 this week, scored his 30th Champions League goal in the Bavarians' 3-0 win over Olympiakos on Wednesday night.
Muller was once again the standout performer on the pitch, scoring a brace, while Mario Gotze scored Bayern's other goal.
Following his two-goal show, the Germany international has now drawn level with Eto'o and Kaka, who both scored 30 Champions League goals during their career.
The 26-year-old has also overtaken the likes of Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Patrick Kluivert and David Trezeguet, who all have 29 goals in Europe's premier club competition.
Overall, Muller sits in 17th position in the tournament's all-time ranking, while he has moved into sixth spot among active Champions League goalscorers.
The striker also became the first Bayern and Germany player to score in eight different Champions League seasons.

Muller has been in fine form since the start of the campaign, scoring eight goals in six games for Bayern, plus an additional three strikes in two games for Germany.
