The Reds thumped the Blaugrana 4-0 in the second-leg after losing 3-0 at Camp Nou a week ago. Their herocis have been called one of the greatest comebacks in history and here are similar historic matches.
2016/17 round of 16: FC Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain 6-1
Back in March 2017, Barcelona saw themselves faced with a 4-0 first-leg defeat at Paris Saint-Germain, but wrote UCL history. They pulled three goals back inside the first 50 minutes and everyone felt a miracle could happen. However, their dreams seemed shattered when PSG's Edinson Cavani scored the 3-1 in the 62nd minute. At that point, the Catalans needed three more goals to overturn their first-leg debacle and they did just that. Late goals by Neymar, who netted a brace, and a much-celebrated 95th minute strike by Sergi Roberto saw the Blaugrana pull off what many consider the greatest comeback in UCL history.
2017/18 quarter-final: AS Roma vs FC Barcelona 3-0
The Blaugrana were involved in another historic game in last season's quarter-final. This time around, however, they were on the losing end. Traveling to Rome with a 4-1 first-leg victory, almost everyone thought Barca had done enough to book their semi-final ticket. Roma, though, had other plans and knocked the Spanish giants out thanks to goals by EdinDzeko, Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas. Following their 4-0 defeat at Liverpool on Tuesday night, Barcelona are now the first side to surrender two three-goal advantages in UCL history.
2003/04 quarter-final: Deportivo La Coruna vs AC Milan 4-0
In 2005, Italian giants AC Milan thought they had booked their semi-final ticket after beating Deportivo La Coruna 4-1 at San Siro in the first leg. However, the Spanish side overturned their deficit in the first half of the second leg already. Goals by Walter Pandiani, Juan Carlos Valerón and Albert Luque saw them leading 3-0 at half-time. Midfielder Fran secured the historic comeback after netting La Coruna's fourth goal in the 76th minute.

2004/05 final: AC Milan vs Liverpool 3-3
Tuesday night's heroics from Liverpool would probably be labeled as the club's greatest comeback in history, if it had not been for their performance in the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan. The Italian side were leading 3-0 at half-time thanks to goals by Paolo Maldini and a brace by Hernan Crespo, but the Reds came out guns blazing after the break. Strikes by Steven Gerrard, Vladimir Smicer and Xabi Alonso saw them level after just 60 minutes. The game stayed on par until the end of extra-time before the Reds won the tie on penalties to lift their fifth and last European Cup.
