According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils conceded more goals (15) than any other English club in the history of the European competition in the group stage.

United were dumped out of the Champions League after a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on Tuesday, ending the first phase of the tournament with only a single victory.

Although they scored as many goals as their German counterparts, the team's defence, along with costly errors from goalkeeper Andre Onana, failed to produce the goods.

It is also only the second time in the club's history that United finished bottom of their UCL group.

Elsewhere in Group A, Copenhagen advanced to the round of 16 following a 1-0 win over Turkish giants Galatasaray in Denmark on Tuesday.

Erik ten Hag's hopes of qualifying depended on a draw in that fixture and United claiming all three points against Thomas Tuchel's team.
