LaLiga president Javier Tebas has fired a sneaky dig at Real Madrid after they got Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League re-draw.
Los Blancos were initially drawn against Benfica on Monday, but that draw was declared void after an error when Manchester United's name was mistakenly left out.
The draw was redone a few hours later and Carlo Ancelotti's men were paired with the Ligue 1 leaders, who boast Sergio Ramos and former rival Lionel Messi in the squad.
"It was a shame. I don't know if it was human or technical error, and maybe Real Madrid are right and the whole draw shouldn't have been repeated. But this is a personal opinion.
"Didn't they want more interesting games? Well, this is more interesting than playing Benfica would have been."
Tebas' "interesting" comment was referring to Los Blanocs' failed to attempt to get the European Super League going this year, where Florentino Perez claimed there would be a big encounter every week.
