Paris Saint-Germain starlet Kylian Mbappe set a new UEFA Champions League goalscoring record on Wednesday night.

The 18-year-old became the highest-scoring teenager in the competition after netting his eighth UCL strike against Belgium giants Anderlecht, as confirrmed by Opta Sports.

The France international, who scored six goals in the competition last season, helped his former side Monaco reach the semi-finals of the 2016/17 Champions League before securing a loan move to Ligue 1 giants PSG.
Mbappe has already netted twice in this campaign's tournament, and his eighth goal overall saw him surpass former Netherlands' international Patrick Kluivert, who previously held the record with seven goals.
The Frenchman is regarded as one of Europe's top talents, and is tipped to win many trophies and personal accolades.

The striker has made 10 appearances for PSG so far this season, scoring four goals and assisting a further four strikes.
