New Man Utd Boss 'Impressed' By African Star!

New Man Utd Boss 'Impressed' By African Star!

New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is believed to have already taken a keen interest in one particular African player – and it may not be who you would expect.

Amorim, 39, was officially unveiled as the new head coach of Manchester United on 1 November.

However, his tenure didn't officially begin until Monday, 11 November, when he was welcomed by several members of the club's hierarchy upon his arrival at Carrington Training Centre.

The former Sporting CP manager gave his first official interview since taking up the role on Friday, 15 November, where he highlighted the need for "time" in order for both himself and the squad to achieve success.

Fans are eager to see Amorim's first starting XI as the Red Devils head to Portman Road, where they will face Ipswich Town on Sunday, 24 November.

Currently sitting in 13th place in the Premier League, United have struggled to find form at the start of the season, a poor run that ultimately led to the departure of former manager Erik ten Hag.

According to reports from Give Me Sport's Dean Jones, "insiders close to the club" have revealed that United winger Amad, 22, has caught the eye of his new boss and could feature "prominently" in Amorim's favoured 3-4-3 formation.

The Portuguese manager is said to be impressed by the player's technical ability and work rate off the ball, which could see him become a crucial part of United's plans moving forward.

Amad has contributed to five goals in 16 appearances this season for United across all competitions.
