Midfielder Paul Pogba has not played a single match for Juventus since his return to the club last year – here is the latest on the Frenchman's future.
Juventus Confirm Stance On Pogba Amid Contract Termination Claims
The 29-year-old rejoined the Bianconeri as a free agent after leaving Manchester United in June 2022, but has not been able to feature for the Italians due to several fitness issues.
Pogba was believed to frustrate head coach Massimiliano Allegri with his decision to prolong his wait for surgery on a knee injury, which kept him out for the first half of the season.
The player was reportedly aiming to give himself the best possible chance to go to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but suffered a setback in his rehabilitation that confirmed he could not be part of France's squad for the tournament.
While Allegri and club officials have since denied rumours suggesting they could resort to terminating Pogba's contract in Italy following his latest knock, Tuttomercatoweb claims the Old Lady could rethink their position if his injury issues persist.
Pogba, who is one of the better-paid players at Juventus, represented the club between 2012 and 2016 before returning to the Red Devils in a then-world-record transfer fee for a midfielder.
His time in England, however, did not go according to plan as he struggled to make an impact at the 20-time English champions and establish a connection with supporters.
