Torino striker Pietro Pellegri had to be taken off minutes into Torino's Serie A clash against Bologna this past weekend, after he reportedly sustained an injury just 2.3 seconds into the match.
According to Tuttosport, the former Monaco forward broke the record for the fastest injury picked up in a professional football game, with the record previously belonging to former Santiago Wanderers man Marco Medel.
The Chilean once suffered a muscle injury three seconds in a match against Universidad de Conception.
Pellegri was once considered among the leading talents in Italian football when he came through at Genoa in 2017, before a switch to Monaco in Ligue 1 saw his profile increase.
