Jose Mourinho's first signing for Roma ahead of the 2021/22 season appears to have been revealed!
The Portuguese tactician will return to the dugout in the coming campaign, having agreed to take charge of Roma in May following his sacking by Tottenham Hotspur.
While Mourinho has since been linked with a number of players ahead of his new project, it now appears that his first signing will be 28-year-old Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.
According to football.london, Roma are close to announcing his arrival after it was reported he could join the Italian side for a fee of £16 million (R308 million).
The Switzerland international joined the Gunners from Borussia Monchengladbach for about £35 million (R674 million) in 2016, and has made 220 appearances for the club since, winning four trophies in the process.
