Benevento 2-2 AC Milan Gennaro Gattuso got his AC Milan reign off to a dreadful start as they became the first team in Serie A to drop points to Benevento. Giacomo Bonaventura opened the scoring in the 38th minute, but George Pu?ca? levelled in the 50th. Milan went back ahead thanks to Nikola Kalinic, but saw Alessio Romagnoli sent off in the 75th minute before Alberto Brignoli's stoppage time equaliser earned Benevento a share of the spoils. Bologna 1-1 Cagliari Bologna and Cagliari played to a 1-1 draw in a match which saw late goals in both halves. Cagliari took the lead through João Pedro in the 42nd minute, but Bologna equalised through Mattia Destro in the 81st. Fiorentina 3-0 Sassuolo Fiorentina thumped Sassuolo 3-0 in resounding fashion They opened the scoring through Giovanni Simeone before Jordan Veretout made it 2-0 shortly before half-time. After the break, a goal from Federico Chiesa sealed the three points. Inter Milan 5-0 Chievo Verona Inter hammered Chievo 5-0 to go top of Serie A. A hat-trick from Ivan Perišic and goals from Mauro Icardi and Milan Škriniar lifted them a point above Napoli and ensured their weekend was in stark contrast to that of their neighbours. Sampdoria 1-2 Lazio Lazio beat Sampdoria 2-1 thanks to a late winner from substitute Felipe Caicedo. Duván Zapata opened the scoring for Sampdoria, but Sergej Milinkovic-Savic equalised before the Ecuadorian's stoppage time goal sealed the points.
