Coppa Italia Final

Result: Juventus 2-0 Lazio

Date: 17 May 2017

Venue: Stadio Olimpico

Juventus were crowned Coppa Italia champions after goals from Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci secured a 2-0 win over Lazio in the final.

After a quite opening, Dani Alves grabbed the lead for the home side after 12 minutes.   Alex Sandro sw off three challenges before teeing up Alves on the right wing. The full-back used his pace to get into the box and fired a low shot into the back of the net, 1-0.   After 20 minutes, Lazio were forced into a substitution as Marco Parolo limped off and he was replaced by Stefan Radu.
Four minutes later, the lead was double as Bonucci pounced on a loose ball in the box and poked home from close range.   Keita Diao carved out a chance for Lazio just before the break, but he fluffed his effort from inside the box,    The match went into the interval with the Old Lady leading 2-0 and in control of the match.    The Eagles started the second half showing clear intentions of getting back into the game. On the hour-mark Felipe Anderson came close to pulling one goal back but his right footed shot missed a few inches over the bar.    Lazio continued to carve out chances and Keita had a great opportunity inside the box but his shot sailed narrowly wide in the 72nd minute.   Eight minutes later, Ciro Immobile had a fantastic chance to pull one goal back but his header sailed inches wide of the upright.   The Old Lady managed to see out the closing stages and have now won the Coppa Italia for the third straight season.
