Zinnbauer Set For Return To Africa?

Zinnbauer Set For Return To Africa?

An African giant is reportedly in appointing Josef Zinnbauer.

Josef Zinnbauer could reportedly be on his way back to Africa following rumours of unpaid dues in Saudi Arabia.

The German tactician is not having the best of times in the Saudi Pro League.

Earlier this month, rumours surfaced that the Schwandorf native was not receiving his wages on time, and it is alleged he has now approached world football's governing body, FIFA, in an attempt to recoup what is owed to him.

It is not only on the administrative front where things seem turbulent, but also on the pitch. Since taking over Al Wehda in the Saudi Arabian top flight, the 54-year-old has only managed to win one match in the league, with the Knights of Mecca currently finding themselves in 17th position.

These factors are seemingly culminating in the former Orlando Pirates boss leaving the oil-rich kingdom just a few months after being appointed. However, it appears he may not be unemployed for long.

According to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, his former club, Raja Club Athletic, could be interested in bringing their legendary manager back.

The current Green Eagles boss, Ricardo Sa Pinto, is walking a tightrope, with his future believed to be contingent on the outcome of their looming clash with Wydad Athletic Club in the league.

The same report suggests that should the Portuguese manager depart, there is every possibility that Zinnbauer returns to Casablanca. He previously led them to a historic season last campaign, winning both the Botola Pro Inwi and Moroccan Throne Cup without losing a game.
