Earlier in the transfer window, the oil-rich outfit successfully secured the services of the Bafana Bafana international for a reported fee of €1.2 million (R24.6 million). The Kimberley native, widely regarded as one of South Africa’s brightest prospects, is now set to further his development in the star-studded Saudi Pro League.
But the Knights of Ad-Dahna appear far from done when it comes to recruiting from the continent. GiveMeSports journalist Ben Jacobs suggests the club is on the verge of signing Egyptian international striker Ahmed Hassan.
The 32-year-old recently concluded a six-month stint with French side Le Havre, and after the expiry of his contract, the 32-cap forward has opted to take his talents to Saudi Arabia.
With Moussa Dembele sidelined for an extended period due to a ruptured achillies, Hassan is believed to be viewed as a short-term solution to help ease the attacking burden.
A product of the Al Ahly academy, Hassan could soon be joined by yet another African star. Al Ettifaq are reportedly intensifying their pursuit of Relebohile Mofokeng, with suggestions that the club has returned to Orlando Pirates with a renewed offer for the 20-year-old winger.

If successful, the Saudi club could make a strong case for becoming one of the most Africa-focused sides in the Saudi Pro League this season.
