The South African defender has already made five appearances for his Romanian club in his first-ever season in the Europa League.
Now in his second season as an FCSB player, Ngezana's career has gone from strength to strength, having already won two titles since moving to Romania, including the league.
The former Kaizer Chiefs star also achieved his dream of one day playing against the club he grew up supporting—Manchester United.
Speaking to the Europa League magazine, he opened up about his journey from South Africa to competing in Europe's second-biggest club competition.
"My mother raised me alone, it was very difficult for us," said the Bafana Bafana centre-back, according to DigiSport.
"I don't come from a very good background. I was raised by a single mother. Football has taught me a lot in life—how to behave, how to have character. I have many wonderful memories. Signing my first professional contract was a huge moment for me.
"I managed to buy my mother a house. After coming to FCSB, everything felt like a dream come true. I used to watch these matches on TV, and now I get to play in them. I knew what these games meant," said Ngezana.
"FCSB gives me a great stage to perform on. I am grateful to play for this team. I try to be a leader. As a defender, it's important to communicate a lot. I want to help the team win trophies and to be an important player here."
