Somebody close to Real Madrid has claimed that Zinedine Zidane quit at the end of the 2017/18 season because the club wanted to sell superstar Cristiano Ronaldo instead of another certain player.
Zidane returned to Real in March this year, less than a year after announcing his decision to leave the club after winning a third consecutive UEFA Champions title at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
There appears to be a lot of drama surrounding the Frenchman and winger Gareth Bale at the moment following the boss' recent remarks about the 30-year-old.

Former Los Blancos president Ramon Calderon believes it was Bale that led to Zidane's exit from the Santiago Bernabeu last year, as it was the former Tottenham Hotspur man that the manager wanted sold instead of five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo.
"It's unsustainable, for sure. For everyone, for the player, for the coach and the club," Calderon told Sky Sports.
"Zidane discounted him when he left the club at the beginning of last season – he wanted to keep Cristiano Ronaldo and sell Bale.
"The president didn't follow that advice, so Zidane left the club.
"When he came back two months ago, he was promised Bale won't be there in the future.
"Maybe his comments weren't really appropriate, but what he has shown is he's fed up with the situation and the best thing to do is find a solution."
