While Zinedine Zidane has bolstered his Real Madrid squad with big-name signings, there seems to be no place in the team for Gareth Bale, who could finally be on his way out.

Following Zidane's return to the club in March, the Frenchman has made it abundantly clear that Bale has no future with Los Blancos, and the recent attacking signings of Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Rodrygo Goes have pushed the Welshman further down the pecking order.
The spate of new arrivals at the Santiago Bernabeau means the club needs to offload a number of players to balance the books, and Bale finds himself at the top of the discard pile.

Despite scoring more than 100 goals for Real and contributing to four of Los Blancos' Champions League successes in the past six seasons, the pacy forward has been deemed surplus to requirements by the coach, and the club is actively seeking to sell him.
His reported weekly wages of €600 000 (R9.4 million) have proved a stumbling block for potential suitors thus far, but his former club has now emerged as a possible destination for the Welsh star.
According to Marca, Tottenham Hotspur are willing to pay between €50 million (R781 million) and €60 million (R938 million) for the 30-year old, who spent six years at the London side between 2007 and 2013.
However, Real would need to subsidise Bale for the remainder of his contract, with the player unwilling to forfeit the remaining three years he signed for and Spurs only able to match half of his current salary.

Bale scored 56 goals in 203 appearances during his previous spell with Spurs, and won the Premier League Player of the Season award on two separate occasions.
